In 2015, Ardale acquired the Old Tin Church site in the centre of Portmarnock, an affluent suburb on the coast in north Co. Dublin, approximately 15 km from Dublin City Centre. A number of title issues had limited the number of parties who could acquire site. On acquisition, Ardale implemented a strategy around these issues before agreeing a subject to planning deal with Lidl. After receipt of a successful permission the site was sold to Lidl.
